Real leather, by contrast, is designed by nature to withstand these exact conditions. Animal hides evolved to protect against sun, moisture, temperature changes, and constant abrasion. When properly tanned and treated, leather retains these protective properties. It doesn't crack or peel with UV exposure-it develops a rich patina. It doesn't degrade with temperature swings-it remains supple and strong. It doesn't fall apart with use-it actually improves, becoming softer and more comfortable over time.

There's also the psychological aspect. When you know you're touching genuine leather, it affects how you feel about your car and your driving experience. Leather signifies quality, permanence, care.
