Full-grain leather is the highest grade available, including the entire grain layer of the hide with all natural texture, strength, and character intact.

We never use corrected-grain leather (which has been sanded to hide imperfections), split leather (the lower layers of the hide), bonded leather (scraps glued together), or synthetic materials marketed as "vegan leather" or "genuine leather." These inferior materials might look acceptable initially, but they crack, peel, and degrade rapidly under the demanding conditions of automotive use.

Our leather comes exclusively from tanneries in Italy and England with decades of expertise in automotive-grade leather production. These are the same suppliers that provide leather to luxury vehicle manufacturers. The tanning process uses traditional vegetable tanning methods whenever possible, avoiding harmful chromium compounds and producing leather that's environmentally responsible and incredibly durable.

Every hide is inspected by our lead craftsperson before production. We look for consistent thickness, proper grain structure, and freedom from significant defects. Only the best sections of each hide make it into AutoRushClub products. This selective approach means we use less than 70% of each hide-the rest goes to other applications where top-tier quality isn't as critical. It's an expensive way to work, but it's the only way to ensure consistent excellence.
